A flavour of what we can do...
North Visually Impaired Cricket Board
"I would like to congratulate you all on the production of our website. We are very happy with the quality of the work and particularly pleased with the way you tackled the complex issues of delivering a site that is user friendly for those with visual impairments. I hope QMTech continue to flourish and have no hesitation in recommending others take advantage of your expertise."
Visually Impaired (VI) Cricket has struggled to really establish itself in the north of England over recent years due to a lack of funding. All that is changing though thanks to efforts of the board. They have made great strides in securing funding and starting to deliver the message that cricket is a sport visually impaired people do play, and that there is an infrastructure being put in place to support and encourage players to get involved.
Building VI cricket from the ground up presented some unique challenges, both techincally and logistically. The first priority was to establish where the demand for the game was, so the board could focus their rescoures and achieve the best impact. Additionally, it meant gaining feedback so that the board could find out exactly what the VI community needed. With these objectives in mind coupled, and coupled with the flexiblilty required in such an embryonic environment, QMTech architected and implemented a truly accessible web service. This would be the focal point for growth, painting a picture to both the board and players alike of how VI cricket was growing and how it needed to grow.
